Editing my Slop video, mostly. But when I'm not doing that I spend a lot of time procrastinating. On a call this week with a group I chat with, we went around the room, the host asking each person the last time they'd felt a specific emotion. Mine was contempt. The guy before me got FOMO. I liked his better, because that was something I used to feel plenty of. Part of why I'm making this post, and 100% why I don't feel that crippling pain of being left out anymore, is just being off social media. That was pretty much my starting point coming out of 2020. It's not healthy. It was especially not healthy for me.
I do, on occasion, miss sharing things I genuinely enjoy. Again, that's basically what this post is, because I don't really have any deep thoughts this week other than: if you have an aging pet, remember to cherish the time you have with them. You never know when one of them with randomly kick out their own tooth and give you midday heart attack.
Cyberpunk 2077
I didn't really get on the bandwagon when the game originally launched. I bought it, saw it was a mess and went about my life. I got to what I think was the final mission but by then I was usually 7-8 drinks in every night and not really in a good place. Fast forward to today: The game feels optimized, lots of new content and an anime series that is pretty damn good. Plus, through some kind of miracle, Amethyst, has made the mod process pretty painless on Bazzite. Originally I just wanted to install the Hyundai N Vision 74 mod. I am now up to 56 random clothing, vehicle and visual tweaks that have made my overall play-through a beautiful mess of loose wires and godlike hacking skillz.
